"Our partnerships exemplify how youth, collaboration, and sustainable entrepreneurship can create real-world outcomes."

- Zach Robinson, Spark-Y Executive Director

Spark-Y offers many ways in which organizations, individuals, and businesses can engage actively in our mission of youth empowerment.  Here are a few examples of how we connect our mission with our partners:

Spark-Y partners with educational institutions to provide hands-on learning programs for their youth. Facilitated by Spark-Y educators, these programs provide engaging educational experiences for students customized to the sustainable goals of schools, districts, and institutions.  Example partners include Edison High School, University of Minnesota, and The Science Museum of Minnesota.

Community partnerships

Spark-Y works with community partners to provide social, financial, and functional assets to commercial and community projects, while providing real-world experience for our youth. Examples of these types of partnerships include youth-developed and executed sustainable projects such as Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board Beltrami neighborhood timber frame greenhouse performed by Spark-Y 2016 intern group.  This project and others like it provide outcomes for our partners with valuable experiences for our youth.

Financial Partnerships

Spark-Y works actively with our financial partners to customize giving in a way that creates real value for our partners beyond just the traditional model of philanthropy. We provide our partners with custom opportunities to actively engage with our organization and our youth, creating win-win opportunities for private, awarded, and commercial giving.

Spark-Y has been the recipient of grants, foundations and awarded giving. Private donations have been made to the organization to support growth cycles, equipment, and specific programming.  We have also worked with local restaurants and businesses for custom sponsorships and in-kind giving.

Spark-Y Produce Partners:
