Spark-Y is hiring a Sustainable Projects Manager, who plans, coordinates, and oversees the execution of Spark-Y’s major sustainable projects, managing staff project teams, and engaging youth, volunteers, and partners in hands-on experiences centered in sustainability and personal / professional development.

You will report to Spark-Y Sustainability and Agriculture Director in Spark-Y Commercial Offerings department. You will manage internal staff project teams.

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Be the point-person for all major sustainable projects; communicate internally with project teams and externally with project partners.

  • Manage staff project teams, assign roles, and track progress.

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee in-field project workdays.

  • Communicate and engage with all involved parties on day-of event plans.

  • Facilitate day-of training orientation to staff, youth, and volunteers on logistics, special skills, and safety.

  • Select, procure, and provide tools and materials for project workdays.

  • Coordinate with Spark-Y volunteers and youth engagement managers to engage youth and volunteers in on-site experiences.

Essential Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of project management experience.

  • Track record in planning or coordination of projects or events.

  • Track record of people and relationship management.

  • Experience managing partners / project teams.

Non-Essential Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, horticulture, or environmental science.

  • Experience working with youth.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Annual Salary: $45,000 - 60,000.

Annual Raise:  Eligible for a performance-based raise at the start of each fiscal year.

PTO: 12 days + 7 personal / sick days, most federal holidays, and 2 day PTO accrual annually.

Monthly Health Stipend: $125/month.

Tele-Health Enrollment: Provides access to basic consultation and prescription services.

Tax-Advantaged Retirement Plan (non-matching): Eligible to contribute to a 401K investment account after a 90 day probationary period.

Maternity / Paternity Policy: Following FMLA unpaid leave (with your job protected and still available after a 12 week leave period), Spark-Y also offers 3 paid weeks (15 business days) during this period.
